A new gameplay video for Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare shows the third-person shooter's "Gardens & Graveyards" mode on its Driftwood Shores map.
Executive producer Brian Lindley describes the 12v12 mode as "a little bit like Battlefield's Rush mode and Conquest mode remixed together but with Plants vs Zombies flare." The video follows the zombie team as it attacks and holds gardens, using class-specific abilities like the soldier's rocket jump or engineer's remote-controlled drone to battle the plant team.
Lindley also narrated a look at the game's other competitive mode, the deathmatch-styled Team Vanquish. The multiplayer-only shooter will also include a four-player cooperative mode titled Garden Ops.
In November, publisher EA announced a Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare release date of February 18, 2014 in North America and February 20 in Europe on Xbox One and Xbox 360.
A PC version of the game has been confirmed for release at a later date. A PS4 version will also be released at some point, if a classification listing which appeared on the Korean rating board's website in November proves to be accurate.
