New footage of Road Redemption has been released, showing two of the game's weapons in action.
Inspired by EA's 16-bit Road Rash games, the title is in development at New Orleans-based studio Darkseas Games for PC and Wii U.
Scheduled for release in August 2014, Road Redemption is the result of a successful Kickstarter campaign which hit its primary target of $160,000 with just two days to go.
The new video clip, which shows the game in a very early stage of production, was sent to Kickstarter backers to give them an idea of how development is progressing.
Road Redemption has earned the backing of Road Rash co-creator Dan Geisler, whose quote of support - "I want to play that! Get funded and kick ass!" - featured on the game's Kickstarter page.
Road Redemption promises to "take the motorcycle combat-racing gameplay, pioneered by the Road Rash series, to the next level," with updated visuals, new weapons, better courses with multiple routes and more.
