Grand Theft Auto Online will be offline for maintenance starting January 15/16 at 9pm EST/2am GMT, Rockstar announced Wednesday.
The developer said it expects the free-roaming multiplayer component of Grand Theft Auto 5 to be back in working order within 24 hours.
GTA Online received a patch on Monday intended to boost anti-cheating measures and squash GTA$ and Reputation Points exploits. Another update released in December added 'Capture' mode, a team-based game type with 20 new Jobs spread over four new modes - Raid, Hold, GTA and Contend.
Rockstar plans to release "substantial" single-player DLC for the open-world crime game in 2014.
