Octodad: Dadliest Catch will release on PC, Mac, and Linux on January 30, developer Young Horses announced on Thursday.
The slapstick physics game, which stars an octopus posing as a human husband and father, will release on Steam, Good Old Games, and the Humble Store. A new trailer shows Octodad balancing his familial obligations with the pressures of staying undercover as a secret cephalopod.
Young Horses also said on Thursday that it's targeting a PS4 release date in March. The indie game has figured prominently into Sony's marketing for the new system, appearing on-stage at PS4 events and in playable retail kiosks. It even produced full-body Octodad costumes for the PS4 launch event.
Octodad: Dadliest Catch was the result of a $24,320 Kickstarter campaign in 2011. The original student game that inspired Dadliest Catch is available for download on its official website.
