Strider gameplay livestream kicks off at 4pm PST Thursday

Capcom will stream live gameplay from the upcoming reboot of arcade classic Strider on Thursday.

The stream is set to begin at 4pm PST, or 12am GMT. Viewers can expect to see a new area of the game in video form, complete with fast-paced combat, exploration, and a boss encounter.

Capcom's Twitch channel, where the stream will begin at the scheduled time, is embedded below.

Capcom revealed the new Strider game at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2013, when it said it will be a downloadable sidescroller developed by Double Helix, the team behind Killer Instinct.

Capcom also said Strider will feature "an ultra-responsive control system, with incredibly satisfying combat options in every traversal context - standing, running, wall climbing, hanging, aerial and more."

The game is due out on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One "a little later this year," according to Capcom Unity.
