Gallery: Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition coming to PC

Capcom will re-release Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition on PC with updated graphics in February, the company has announced.

The new version will feature higher-resolution textures as seen in the screenshots below and will run at 60 frames per second, Capcom claimed. It will release on Steam worldwide and in retail in Europe on February 28 for $19.99/€19.99.

The game will include Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud save support, Steam Trading Cards, leaderboards, and full controller support. Pre-orders are now live on Steam, offering a digital soundtrack and artbook for early purchasers.

Resident Evil 4 originally released on GameCube in January 2005. Ports of the game for PS2, PC, and Wii followed, and an earlier upgrade called Resident Evil 4 HD released for download on PS3 and Xbox 360 in September 2011.

Resident Evil 7 has been in development since 2012, according to the LinkedIn profile of a former employee. Capcom released Resident Evil Revelations HD on PC and consoles in May 2013.
