Titanfall beta confirmed for Xbox One and PC

"Details in the coming days", says Respawn

Following a retailer leak and a teaser statement on Monday, Respawn Entertainment head Vince Zampella has made it official; a Titanfall beta is coming for Xbox One and PC.

Speaking via Twitter, Zampella simply stated, "I'm sure no one has been able to guess from the leaks. PC and XboxOne Beta!"

No further information was revealed, other than the promise of "details in the coming days". There was also no mention of a beta for the Xbox 360 version of the game, although at this point it would appear unlikely.

According to an alleged French retailer leak, the developer will host a week-long beta for Titanfall in mid-February. Zampella's acknowledgement of the leak lends weight to the accuracy of this timing.

The developer insisted that last week's multiplayer testing was not a beta but "a limited technical test". It was unwilling to discuss the possibility of a public beta at the time.

The Titanfall release date is March 11, according to EA's schedule. The highly anticipated Respawn shooter is generally considered as a key asset for Microsoft and its Xbox business. It will ship on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
