Ubisoft Shanghai may be working on the next game in the Far Cry series, according to an employee.
According to the LinkedIn page of the studio's design manager, the developer has been working on "the next Far Cry" since at least September 2013.
Ubisoft Shangai previously provided additional work for Far Cry 3, and also collaborated with Ubisoft Montreal on Far Cry 3: Blood Dragons.
Last July a Ubisoft exec confirmed the company would be sharing information on the next Far Cry game "soon".
"We're totally psyched from [Far Cry 3]," said senior vice president of marketing and sales Tony Key. "It's a great brand, and now it's got the recognition it deserves, so we're clearly going to make another one: more on that soon."
Ubisoft will release a compilation of Far Cry games subtitled Wild Expeditions on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC next month.
Set for release in February Far Cry Wild Expeditions will include a high definition remaster of the original game in the series titled Far Cry Classic, along with Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon.
