Sony has officially confirmed the PS Vita Slim will be released in the UK on February 7 priced at around £180.
The confirmation follows a leak yesterday by a retailer which outed the release early.
The slim PS Vita has been available in Japan since October and features a smaller form factor and a high definition five inch LCD display, instead of the original Vita's OLED screen.
It also has a built-in 1GB memory card and, according to Sony, its battery life offers additional one hour of gaming time, raising the total to six hours of gameplay.
At the event Sony also announced the Indie Game Mega Pack, which is available in two configurations.
The first bundle will include the PS Vita handheld, along with Alien Breed, Thomas Was Alone, Velocity Ultra, Men's Room Mayhem, Coconut Dodge Revitalised, Limbo, Hotline Miami, Total Recoil, Superfrog HD and Floating Cloud God Saves the Pilgrims in HD for €199.99.
The second configuration features a 4GB memory card and a PlayStation Store voucher to download the above 10 games for €24.99.
