South Park: Stick of Truth doesn't use uPlay

Ubisoft's online platform takes a backseat to Steam

Despite being published by Ubisoft, the PC version of South Park: The Stick of Truth will not feature uPlay, developer Obsidian has confirmed.

Posting on Twitter, the official Obsidian account stated "uPlay was not integrated at all into South Park: Stick of Truth" and instead fully supports Steam.

South Park: Stick of Truth was acquired by Ubisoft following the bankruptcy of its previous publisher THQ.

South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker explained delays to its release by saying they "always wanted the game to feel like you're actually in an episode of South Park.

"Getting the game up to the crappy standards of the show has been a real challenge and we're excited to say it's taken way longer than we thought it would," the duo added.

The South Park: Stick of Truth release date has been confirmed as March 4 in North America, March 7 in Europe and March 6 in Australia.
