PlayStation 3 exclusive Soul Calibur: Lost Swords is coming to Europe and Australia this spring, Namco Bandai has announced.
The free-to-play fighter is released today in Japan, and is described as a "single player experience" that will feature "numerous famous fighters including Siegfried and Mitsurugi".
"Lost Swords reinvents the world-renowned weapons-based fighting franchise with a brand new item discovery and forging system as well as elemental-based fighting mechanics," reads a statement from Namco Bandai.
"Special elemental effects such as Wind and Fire will be imbued into weapons scavenged from defeated enemies as well as forged from equipment collected by the player. Players will have to strategize which weapon to take into battle for a successful win."
The game will also include an online multiplayer mode which sees players form two teams of four and "compete to inflict the most damage on a common enemy".
A Japanese launch trailer for the game was recently released.
