Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate listing points to console release

Handheld platform game may be headed to XBLA, according to listing

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate may be headed to Xbox 360 in the form of a 'Deluxe Edition', according to a listing on the Xbox website.

While neither Warner Bros. nor Microsoft has announced its intention to release the Vita and 3DS title for Xbox 360, a listing has appeared on the Xbox Marketplace website, pointing to a console release.

According to the listing, the Deluxe Edition will come with new content. The following screenshots were also posted.

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - Deluxe Edition amplifies the 2.5-D game with new maps, enemy encounters, difficulty levels, batsuits, and enhanced visuals. A companion game to Batman: Arkham Origins, players can continue the storyline of the console version and discover more details of the Dark Knight's past. Featuring stealth gameplay, free-flow combat, and Batman's famed arsenal of gadgets, the genuine Arkham experience is reproduced in a deep, action packed side-scrolling adventure.

Blackgate released alongside Batman: Arkham Origins in October. In our review we described it as "a better Metroid than a Batman game".

Developed by Armature Studio, the developer founded by several leads behind the Metroid Prime trilogy, Blackgate is described as a "2.5-D exploration action game."
