Electronic Arts has decided to close down its browser-based MMO Lord of Ultima after four years of activity.
All servers will go offline on Monday May 12.
No explanation for the closure was given in an announcement posted on the Lord of Ultima forums.
Purchased in-game currency will not be refunded or transferred to other games. Users are encouraged to spend their currency ahead of the closure.
The game, developed by EA Phenomic in Germany, will offer players various perks as a farewell gift.
Developers are also investigating whether they can progress players at earlier stages in the game to ensure they see the later chapters.
Lord of Ultima has been playable since April 2010.
