It's come to our attention that there are far too many fake game journalists out there and, frankly, we're sick of them.
We're tired of the soft questions, tired of the obvious biases, and tired of the sucking up to game developers. They'll never love you, and you'll never get a job with them.
So, it's time for a real game journalist to step up, someone that won't pull any punches and who will never stop pressing the hard questions. Someone who will be so unrelenting in his game journalising that people will leave interview feeling like their minds have been invaded and their secrets laid bare.
A man like Gavin Murphy, The Real Games Journalist. Now, we know that some of you might be saying "oh, Gavin only makes the videos, what does he know about journalism?" The answer is "a lot". Apparently you can pick up most of what you need purely through osmosis.
Don't believe us? Just look at this tweet from Thomas Was Alone creator Mike Bithell, the first person Gav interviewed.
Just did the interview from hell, f*** that guy.— Mike Bithell (@mikeBithell) February 7, 2014
See? The game development world is not ready for Gavin Murphy. See his debut interview below - and watch out, games industry.
