Thief runs at 1080p on PS4, but 900p on Xbox One

Square Enix says "you'll need good eyes" to notice the difference

Thief is the latest game confirmed to render at a higher resolution on PlayStation 4 than on Xbox One.

Square Enix confirmed to Eurogamer that its upcoming stealth reboot renders natively at 1080p on PS4, whereas the Xbox One version renders at 900p.

Both versions, meanwhile, will run at 30 frames per second.

"You really need good eyes to see the difference," game director Nicolas Cantin told the site, before assuring that the Xbox One version "is as good as the PS4 version".

Earlier this week, Konami confirmed that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes would natively render at 1080p on PS4 but only 720p on Xbox One.

Eidos Montreal recently posted a walkthrough video of the first mission from Thief.

The video shows the 'Lockdown' mission in its completion, which is the first mission in the game.

Thief will be released on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on February 25 in North America and February 28 in Europe.
