Tengami has been released today and is available for iOS 7 devices.

In development for three years, it's an adventure game set inside a Japanese pop-up book.

Players take control of a lone wanderer, and have to flip, fold, slide and pull the origami-themed world to solve puzzles.

According to developer Nyamyam, "Tengami's pop-up world is comprised of 133 authentically folding pop-ups, all of which could be re-created in real life with paper, scissors and glue."

It's powered by Nyamyam's proprietary pop-up engine the Paper Kit ("a first of its kind technology that makes the creation of authentic digital pop-ups possible"), as well as the Havok Physics engine.

It also contains an original soundtrack by David Wise, the British composer who scored the music for this week's major Wii U release, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

Tengami is available now for £2.99/€4.49/$4.99 as a universal app for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. It will be released on Wii U, PC and Mac later this year.

Speaking to Official Nintendo Magazine, Tengami developer Nyamyam has confirmed that the Wii U version will be arriving on the eShop in June.
