Naughty Dog creative director Neil Druckmann says there's a 50/50 chance that a The Last of Us sequel will be developed.
During a recent Reddit AMA, Neil Druckmann offered new hope that a follow-up to the acclaimed PS3 exclusive will eventuate, saying that "right now...it's 50/50."
Still, should a sequel to The Last of Us be developed there is a chance it won't feature Joel and Ellie. Druckmann said that while he does "miss them dearly," he'd like to see them again "in another medium".
He also stated that he was "super proud" of the ending of The Last of Us, and with the Left Behind DLC serving as a prequel, it seems likely a sequel would go beyond Joel and Ellie's story.
Earlier this month Druckmann revealed that Naughty Dog was brainstorming possible sequel ideas, along with new IP.
Last week Naughty Dog released a 90-minute documentary on the making of The Last of Us.
The first and only story DLC 'Left Behind' was released February 14.
