Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 has been delayed in Australia, it has been confirmed.
Originally slated for a February 28 release, the game will now hit retail on March 6.
According to a local spokesperson for Konami, the one week postponement is due to a shipping delay.
In a recent interview with CVG, Konami producer Dave Cox explained that the game's open-world nature will more closely resemble a Zelda game than the GTA series.
"People say to us 'is this a Metroidvania style game,' and I suppose in hindsight looking at it now, there are elements of that," he said.
Set years after its predecessor, Lords of Shadow 2 sees series protagonist Gabriel Belmonte preparing to take on satan.
Digital PS3 pre-orders of Lords of Shadow 2 will come bundled with Castlevania: Mirror of Fate HD, Konami announced last week.
