3DS system update released

Nintendo says it improves system stability and enhances the user experience

Nintendo has released 3DS system update 7.1.0-16.

The company says the update makes "further improvements to overall system stability" while "other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience".

December 2013's 7.0.0-13 3DS system update introduced Miiverse support and the ability for owners to tie their accounts with Wii U.

Users can now sign in to existing Nintendo Network IDs and deposit and share digital currency through either 3DS or Wii U.

Meanwhile, the introduction of Wii U's Miiverse to the handheld allows users to post comments and sketches via 3DS, with the messages appearing on both portable and home consoles.
