Murdered: Soul Suspect will release on both current and last-gen consoles, but it will not be coming to the Wii U.
During an interview with GameSpot, Airtight Games Chief Creative Officer Matt Brunner explained that Murdered: Soul Suspect isn't a good fit for Nintendo's struggling console.
Brunner says that "all the Wii U games I've ever played, the only good ones are the ones that are made specifically for [the Wii U]".
Murdered: Soul Suspect "just doesn't fit," he continued.
Brunner went on to explain that Square Enix will be doing its best to keep consistency across all platforms, with both the Xbox One and PS4 versions outputting in native 1080p.
Murdered: Soul Suspect was originally scheduled to release for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, however Xbox One and PS4 versions were announced in February.
Last week Square Enix released a fresh batch of screenshots for the investigative thriller.
Murdered: Soul Suspect is scheduled to release in June.
