The team working on DayZ is 'effectively doubling' as creator Dean Hall prepares to leave the project by the end of 2014.
The news comes via a new DayZ update, which outlines the studio's plans for the forthcoming Update 0.37 arriving March 5.
"We are inducting a large number of new people to the team, effectively doubling the whole project," Hall wrote in the update.
In addition to a number of bug fixes, Hall reports that the team is about to commence work on a new cooking system.
"This will be part of a wider push in March to focus on Survival aspects of the game in general," Hall wrote. "You will turn your cooking device on (fireplace/stove) and then place the items in it."
The blog also promises that a roadmap outlining the studio's plans for the rest of 2014 will release shortly.
Hall revealed last week that he plans to leave Bohemia Interactive by the end of 2014 to return to his native New Zealand.
Hall will leave despite news that a beta build is unlikely to be ready before the end of 2014.
