Murdered: Soul Suspect release dates confirmed

Supernatural adventure coming to US on June 3 in US, followed by June 6 in Europe

Murdered: Soul Suspect will release on June 3 in North America and June 6 in Europe, publisher Square Enix has confirmed

The 'supernatural detective thriller' is coming to PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The next-gen versions of the game will offer "increased visual fidelity" via native 1080p output, according to Square Enix.

In Murdered: Soul Suspect the main protagonist is killed by an unknown perpetrator, and he must investigate his own mysterious demise from the afterlife. Players will make use of their character's detective skills as well as his new afterlife abilities which let him walk through walls, see flashes of the past, and influence the thoughts and actions of the living.

Murdered will not be headed to Wii U as it "just doesn't fit" on Nintendo's console, Airtight Games chief creative officer Matt Brunner has said.

A new batch of screens from last week give a better look at Murdered's supernatural crime scenes, and a trailer from early February offers a look at the game's next-gen performance.

Square Enix said it's still working on what pre-order bonuses to offer for European customers.
