Batman: Arkham Knight was revealed on Tuesday for a vague 2014 release, but according to GameStop the game will more specifically be released in North America on October 14.
It's not uncommon for retailers to use placeholder release dates in online listings, but GameStop has this unannounced release date both on its website product listing and within a picture of a pre-order poster being offered as an incentive to early buyers (picture below as retrieved by CVG directly from the GameStop website).
According to today's official announcement, the "explosive finale" to the Arkham series will be released in 2014 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. CVG has contacted Warner for the official comment.
Arkham Knight is set after the events of 2011's Arkham City and will allow players to get behind the wheel of the Batmobile for the first time.
Lots more gameplay and plot details are revealed in a more detailed blowout report which followed the initial announcement.
