Watch Dogs creative director Jonathan Morin has moved to explain the extended delay to the Wii U version of the game.
On Monday, Ubisoft confirmed a Watch Dogs release date of May 27 on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, with the Wii U version set to "release at a later date".
@21ricky21 @Ubisoft I answer this one. We needed to focus on the overall experience and some Wii U staff was needed for this. Logistic.— Jonathan Morin (@Design_Cave) March 7, 2014

Further details about the game's multiplayer features are expected to emerge this evening when the Watch Dogs development team hosts a live Q&A on Ubisoft's Twitch.tv channel. Morin, lead game designer Danny Bélanger and animation director Colin Graham will be taking questions from the community from 8pm UK / 12pm PST.
The highly anticipated open-world game was originally scheduled for release in November, but it was delayed due to quality concerns.
