The Xbox 360 version of World of Tanks will receive three new maps if the game's community can score a certain number of kills within a week.
Wargaming says the 'Map Madness' event will take place between March 18 and March 24.
During that period, the cumulative number of tanks destroyed on the Xbox 360 edition of the game will unlock new maps as different milestones are hit.
When ten million tanks are destroyed, the Lakeville map will be unlocked. According to Wargaming, this is "a deeply strategic location where the careful use of buildings and cover become the ultimate key to team success".
If 25 million tanks blow up Wargaming will add El-Halluf, a desert-based stage that "provides a plethora of key strategic ambush spots for careful players".
Finally, if a total of 40 million tanks are destroyed, the studio will unlock Prokhorovka, a battle arena from the PC version of World of Tanks which "combines both open space and an urban setting to create an extremely balanced map, and is incredibly popular with eSports players".
Released last month, World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition is developed by Wargaming West, the team formerly known as Day 1 Studios, and published by Microsoft.
It is free-to-play for those with an Xbox Live Gold subscription, but also features in-game purchases such as premium tanks, consumables and premium accounts to boost experience and currency accrual rates.
