Absolution sees 47 return to his contract killing ways with classic gear and tactics as well as optional features to ease new players into Hitman's notoriously exacting missions.

All of the game's downloadable content, including the former pre-order exclusive Sniper Challenge, will be included with the Elite Edition. It will be 47's first appearance on Mac.

In our Hitman: Absolution review, we said the game made good on years of anticipation with "creativity, genuine player choice, the odd smile, and an unrivalled panache for turning murder into an art form."

Hitman Go, a mobile strategy game with a unique diorama aesthetic, is due for release in the next few months from Square Enix Montreal.

Another Hitman game in development at Square Enix Montreal was rumored to be canceled in January. Owner Square Enix did not deny the reports, instead it chose only to confirm that a previously announced "AAA Hitman game" is still in development at its home studio of IO Interactive.
