PlayStation Home will finally receive PSN Trophies of its own through an update due Wednesday.
PlayStation Europe community manager Chris Owen tweeted news of the incoming update to the PS3's virtual gaming and socializing service.
PlayStation Home v1.86 coming on Weds 12 March, introduces Trophies! *ping*— Chris Owen (@Envisager_) March 10, 2014
The Trophy support is not to be confused with Trophy Rooms, an unreleased feature which would let players show off visual representations of their PSN trophies in their home spaces. Instead, the trophies will be rewarded for completing tasks in Home.
Owen confirmed that the trophies will be also be awarded retroactively - Home was first released in 2008 - and that a complete list will be released on Wednesday.
Sony has not announced whether Home or a similar service is planned for release on PS4. Home stopped receiving content updates in Japan as of September 2013, though updates have continued in Europe and North America.
