An closed beta for Transformers Universe, the 'massively online tactical action game' set in the world of Transformers, is set to commence on Saturday.
The game's developer, Runescape creator Jagex, has also added two new playable characters to the game to mark the occasion.
Joining the game is Conduit (a Decepticon who can heal allies in battle) along with Front-Line (an Autobot with a heavy attack arsenal of minigun and battle axe). Two new videos showcasing the combatants are available below.
Transformers Universe is free to play and supported by microtransactions. The game sits within the Prime timeline, along with the book Exodus, the War for Cybertron games and the Prime cartoon.
The closed beta runs from Saturday March 15 to Sunday March 16.
Players can sign up here, though at the time of going to press, the sign-up page was undergoing maintenance.
