Microsoft has announced plans to launch Xbox One in 26 new markets in September 2014.
Yusuf Mehdi, Xbox's corporate VP of marketing, strategy and business, confirmed the following list of planned launch markets in a post on Xbox Wire:
Argentina, Belgium, Chile,Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UAE.
Xbox One was due to launch in 21 markets in November 2013, but was delayed in eight, each of which will now receive the console this September.
Microsoft said in January that global Xbox One sales topped three million units between the console's November 22 debut and the end of 2013.
In comparison, Sony said earlier this month that worldwide PS4 sales totalled six million units as of March 2. The console launched in North America on November 15, 2013, in Europe two weeks later, and in Sony's home nation on February 22. It is currently available in 57 countries worldwide.
