EA has delayed the release of Titanfall on Xbox 360 for the second time.
While the outsourced Xbox 360 edition of the shooter was originally expected to launch alongside the Respawn-developed Xbox One and PC versions on March 11, it was delayed by two weeks in early February to allow Bluepoint Games "time to put the finishing touches on the game".
Today, executive vice president of EA Studios Patrick Söderlund confirmed a further two week delay to the game, which will now hit North America on April 8 and Europe on April 11.
"I've been playing the game a lot, and it is fantastic," he said in a statement. "But we see a few things that can be made even better, so we're giving Bluepoint a little more time to do just that and deliver an epic Titanfall experience for Xbox 360 players.
"The game will feature the same 6v6 gameplay, maps, modes, weapons and Burn Cards as the Xbox One and PC versions of the game. We appreciate everyone's patience as we get the last details right."
EA has yet to address rumours that the Xbox 360 version of the game will render at sub-720p and output at 30fps.
Titanfall debuted at No.1 on the UK all formats chart on Monday after enjoying the biggest launch of 2014 to date.
CVG's Titanfall review concluded: "Thrillingly chaotic and expertly tuned, Titanfall is a fairly orthodox FPS elevated to greatness by dozens of intelligent design choices." See what other critics thought of the game in our Titanfall review round-up.
