Assassin's Creed Comet will let players sail up and down the Atlantic coast in control of a Templar sailor, according to Kotaku's anonymous sources.
The sources described the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game as a cross between Assassin's Creed III and the Freedom Cry DLC for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. Players will be able to visit New York City among other east coast destinations.
The main protagonist of the game is allegedly a templar named Shay. In his travels he'll run into Connor Kenway's first-mate-turned-Assassin Adewale and Kenway's son Haytham, among other fictional and historical figures.
Kotaku first leaked details of Assassin's Creed Unity last week, saying the game was set in and around the French revolution and planned to release exclusively on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Ubisoft verified those details days afterward.
Both are reportedly planned for release in 2014.
Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag released across both generations of consoles in October and November 2013.
