The ocean combat focused expansion was released on PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360 early last week, while the Xbox One version launched on Friday following a short delay.
The PC version was pushed back because of DICE's concern "that the combination of the pack and planned PC updates would increase performance issues on mid-range to high-end PCs".
The expansion includes four new competitive multiplayer maps set in the South China Sea: Lost Islands, Nansha Strike, Wave Breaker and Operation Mortar. It also introduces five new weapons, the amphibious hovercraft vehicle, ten assignments and the new Carrier Assault mode, which is an homage to Battlefield 2142's Titan mode.
Naval Strike is the third of five planned Battlefield 4 expansions due for release by the summer of 2014. They can be pre-purchased as part of the £39.99 / $50 Battlefield Premium subscription offering. The other four expansions are Second Assault, China Rising, Dragon's Teeth and Final Stand.
