Deep Silver has confirmed that Metro Redux will bring the horror shooter series to new systems.
The previously rumoured package was said to include remastered versions of Metro 2033, Metro: Last Light, and their respective DLC for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Deep Silver told CVG today that some leaked details were placeholders or outdated, although others were correct.
"As you can see, we're not quite ready to reveal 4A Games' first next-gen console project, but we will be making an announcement this side of E3," the publisher said. "And we think the reality is a lot more exciting than the out-dated material that got leaked shows, and we're itching to share it with you. Just not yet."
CVG's 9/10 Metro 2033 review called the 2010 game "a brilliantly atmospheric shooter with forgivably imperfect gunplay," while our 8/10 Metro Last Light review labelled 2013's sequel "a refreshing change from more traditional first-person shooters".
Last year's game was expanded with four post-release Metro Last Light DLC packs.
