XSEED Games has put out a launch trailer to mark the arrival of Ragnarok Odyssey ACE on PS3 and Vita today, April 1.
Ragnarok Odyssey ACE is a "massively expanded" version of the original Ragnarok Odyssey, which was released in 2012. The ACE version, which hit Japan in August last year, is said to pack enough to new content to make it "about twice the size" of the original, according to the publisher.
"The most prominent new feature is a 400-story tower, with enough monsters and new story content to fill it; you'll see that once you reach the original game's ending, which is now the new game's midpoint," explains XSEED's Ryan Graff.
"Throughout the game, you'll also discover new character skills, new weapon types, new NPC sidekicks, and a slew of other new features and conveniences."
The new game also feature new cross play functionality for up to four players spread across the two platforms, and can accept save files imported from the original game.
The game hits retail today in both physical and digital forms. The PS3 game costs $39.99, while the PS Vita features differing price points; $34.99 digitally and $39.99 at retail "for the first print-run Launch Edition physical version", which comes with a soundtrack CD.
The game arrives alongside a list of small DLC packs, each costing $0.99. Full details on that are here.
