Battlefield 4 loadout presets coming April 8

Battlelog update adds up to 4 pre-customized kits

Customizable loadout presets will soon let Battlefield 4 players swap between tuned-up builds straight from Battlelog.

Developer DICE outlined the changes, scheduled to arrive as part of an April 8 Battlelog update, on Battlefield 4's official blog.

Standard players can create two loadout presets per kit or vehicle, while Premium players get access to four. These loadouts can only be customized from the Battlelog or its mobile app versions, though players can choose from all of the same in-game options.

Once the presets are locked in, players can jump into a multiplayer game with their preferred loadout and find the changes automatically applied in-game. The last chosen pre-set will remain applied to that kit or vehicle until a new one is applied or the loadout is changed.

The latest Battlefield 4 DLC Pack, Naval Strike, is scheduled to go on general sale on April 15.

The expansion includes four new competitive multiplayer maps set in the South China Sea: Lost Islands, Nansha Strike, Wave Breaker and Operation Mortar. It also introduces five new weapons, the amphibious hovercraft vehicle, ten assignments and the new Carrier Assault mode, which is an homage to Battlefield 2142's Titan mode.

DICE aims to resolve the rubber-banding issues that have plagued 64-player matches by upgrading its server hardware.
