Ubisoft has released a video of Watch Dogs' PC version in action, showing off the fruits of its collaboration with PC graphics firm Nvidia.
Lead PC engineer Paul Vlasie lays out an assortment of visual techniques exclusive to the game's PC version, including Nvidia-backed horizon-based ambient occlusion and anti-aliasing technologies.
"By working with Nvidia, we really want to make sure PC gamers will be able to enjoy and explore the most realistic and visually stunning world environment ever created," Vlasie says in the video. "The Windy City like you've never seen it before."
The PC footage more closely resembles the original footage released alongside the Watch Dog's debut in 2012. Fans accused Ubisoft of "downgrading" the game's visual quality in subsequent trailers.
An Ubisoft employee the PS4 version of Watch Dogs is targeting 1080p and it will utilize "Xbox One to its full capabilities" in a since-pulled video interview.
The publisher recently announced a Watch Dogs release date of May 27 on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, with the Wii U version set to launch "at a later date".
