XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Civilization studio Firaxis Games will reveal its next AAA project on Saturday.
Publisher 2K Games announced on its official blog that the studio will debut its latest project at a PAX East panel scheduled to take place at the DragonFly Theatre at 11:30 am.
Firaxis released XCOM: Enemy Unknown in October 2012, and its expansion XCOM: Enemy Within released in November 2013. It also released mobile strategy games Haunted Hollow and Sid Meier's Ace Patrol in that time.
The studio was founded by MicroProse veteran Sid Meier in 1996. Since then its strategy and simulation focused games have attracted critical accolades and commercial success, earning a place as one of 2K Games' premier studios.
2K's other PAX East plans include a playable demo of 4v1 multiplayer shooter Evolve and a live look Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel - which we saw in a hands-off reveal published earlier this week.
