Below will release on Steam as well as Xbox One, Capybara Games revealed in a new trailer published Thursday.
The downtempo adventure game by the developers of Sword & Sworcery was first revealed as one of Xbox One's indie pre-eminent indie titles. The studio clarified in August 2013 that it could bring Below to other platforms after remaining an Xbox One exclusive for "a period of time".
Capybara president Nathan Vella Tweeted that the studio will share more information about the announcement at PAX East, scheduled to begin Friday.
The trailer, titled "Come in from the Storm", pans across the island and subterranean depths that make up the world of Below. Music from Jim Guthrie, who also scored Sword & Sworcery, accompanies the video.
Microsoft described Below as "a classic rogue tale with moody graphics and Kinect technology."
"You'll scour the open world in search of rare and special loot while battling the malevolent Darkness, an artificial intelligence-controlled character that uses Kinect to sense and change level progression based on the room's surroundings.
