OnLive cuts CloudLift subscription fee by half

New games also added to the service, which links Steam libraries with OnLive accounts

OnLive has slashed the subscription price of its recently launched CloudLift service.

CloudLift works by linking the user's existing Steam game library with their OnLive account and sharing cloud saves between the two.

Users can start playing a game on their home PC before continuing where they left off remotely on a range of devices, including those on which the game is not normally supported, such as laptops, Macs, Android consoles, or TVs with the OnLive Game System.

While a monthly subscription to the service was previously priced at £9.99/$14.99, it now costs £4.95/$7.95.

CloudLift, which supports multiplayer gaming, launched with titles including Batman: Arkham Origins and Saints Row IV. Five more games have this week been added: Lego The Hobbit, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Lord of the Rings: War in the North and Shadow Warrior.

OnLive also continues to offer the £6.99/$9.99 PlayPack subscription plan, which provides instant access to over 250 games streamed to OnLive compatible devices.
