Sidescrolling shooter Mercenary Kings will release on PS Vita, developer Tribute Games revealed at PAX East Friday.
Destructoid reports that the game will release with Cross-Buy support, meaning those who have purchased it for PS4 will automatically get access to the PS Vita version and vice-versa.
Tribute Games plans to also develop a PS Vita port for its newly announced brawler Curses 'n Chaos and Ninja Senki DX, a fast-paced platformer. It did not specify a release date for any of the portable versions.
Supporting up to four player co-op locally or online, the title features 2D gameplay that harks back to classic side-scrolling shooters like Metal Slug.
Players assume the role of members of an elite squad known as the Mercenary Kings, who are dropped on Mandragora Island to complete a series of missions and rescue Dr. James Neil from the forces of C.L.A.W. (Cyber Loyalist Active Weapons).
