Super Time Force to release 'late May, early June'

'Run and gun' platformer coming to Xbox 360 and Xbox One

Super Time Force is set to release in late May or early June for Xbox 360 and Xbox One, according to a studio spokesperson.

The sidescrolling, time-travelling platformer has been in development since 2011 by Capybara Games, the studio responsible for Superbrothers and the forthcoming Below.

The studio's co-founder and president Nathan Vella confirmed with Joystiq that it will release shortly.

"It's in QA, going into cert soon," Vella said. "It's out of our hands until Microsoft certification is done with it, but it's not the hardest game to certify because it doesn't have any multiplayer and it only has a single leaderboard."

Super Time Force is among 25 indie titles confirmed for Xbox One last month, as part of Microsoft's ID@Xbox program.

Capybara Games is also developing Below for Xbox One, but it will no longer be an exclusive.
