PSN maintenance reportedly scheduled for Easter Monday

Certain online features will be inaccessible for 12 hours

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has reportedly scheduled PlayStation Network maintenance for Easter Monday.

SixthAxis reports that the maintenance period will run for 12 hours, from 4pm BST on Monday April 21 to 4am BST on Tuesday April 22.

The planned maintenance work was revealed on Twitter by PlayStation English community manager Chris Owen, although the tweet in question has since been removed.

Services including PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management will be unavailable during the maintenance window, but online gameplay will be available to users who have recently signed in to their PSN account and have their authentication details cached.

The maintenance work may be related to a new PS4 update designed to improve sharing and streaming options, which is rumoured to be set for release next week.

Infamous studio Sucker Punch has also said that support for pre-loading PSN games will be introduced in April.
