Dragon Age: Inquisition's cover revealed

BioWare has revealed the cover art for Dragon Age: Inquisition.

The cover depicts the upcoming RPG's main character, the Inquisitor, standing alone before an apocalyptic landscape. The Inquisitor holds a flaming sword and a free hand aloft, gesturing toward a swirling mass of demons.

Dragon Age creative director Mike Laidlaw said on Twitter that the Inquisitor is shown from behind with little indication of gender or race so as to reflect whatever characters players decide to create. The cover of Dragon Age 2, much like the covers of BioWare's Mass Effect games, depicted only the default male version of the protagonist.

A trailer published in early March gives a brief look at the new world of Thedas and the Fade-born demons invading it.

Dragon Age: Inquisition will not include DLC characters unlike previous entries in the series, but it will support Kinect voice commands on Xbox systems.

It's planned for release in Fall 2014 for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
