Batman Arkham Origins DLC Cold, Cold Heart released

Add-on pack out now on Xbox, with PC and PlayStation versions to follow shortly

The latest Batman: Arkham Origins DLC pack, Cold, Cold Heart, is now available on Xbox 360.

Weighing in at 1.87 GB on Microsoft's console, the DLC is due for release later today on PC. The PS3 version will also launch in North America today and in Europe tomorrow. A planned Wii U release was cancelled in January, with publisher Warner citing low demand.

Cold, Cold Heart is priced at £7.99 /9.99 standalone, or is free for Batman Arkham Origins season pass holders.

Starring Mr. Freeze as the main antagonist, the DLC introduces Batman's XE suit, which is designed to combat Freeze's weapons, plus a new ability to break through ice barriers with heat power-ups.

The Xbox Live product description reads: "When the CEO of GothCorp is kidnapped, by Mr. Freeze, Batman sets out to bring him to justice. Along the way, he will uncover the tragic history of his new enemy, prompting our hero to attempt the impossible: save the victim and the villain. Hours of narrative-driven gameplay and new open world content await."

The first Batman Arkham Origins DLC pack, Initiation, is more limited in scope, casting players as a young Bruce Wayne honing his skills in North Korea under the tutelage of martial arts master Kirigi.
