Mario Golf World Tour DLC season pass announced

Buy three add-on packs for the 3DS game at a discounted rate

Nintendo has announced a Mario Golf World Tour DLC season pass.

In a first for the platform holder, it will offer three add-on packs for the 3DS game at a discounted rate when purchased in one go.

While the main game will feature ten courses and 126 holes, an amount Nintendo says is "equivalent to previous titles in the franchise", players will be able to expand the experience by purchasing up to a total of 108 new downloadable holes and additional Mushroom Kingdom golfers.

Each of the game's three add-ons will include two new 18-hole courses and a fresh playable character. The Mushroom Pack will launch with Toadette on May 2, the Flower Pack later in May with Nabbit, and the Star Pack in June with Rosalina.

The DLC packs will each be available to purchase standalone for £5.39/$5.99 from the game's main menu, but can be picked up together at a discounted price of £10.79/$14.99 when the season pass launches on the Mario Golf World Tour release date of May 2.

Season pass buyers will receive Gold Mario as a playable character at the time of purchase. The character has a special Golden Flower shot that gains coins for every yard it travels. Players who buy the packs individually will receive Gold Mario access once all of the DLC has been released.

Additionally, Nintendo will offer Trial Tournaments for players interested in sampling the downloadable courses before deciding whether or not to purchase them.
