Mega Man Battle Network 3 re-release rated in Australia

Capcom's cult GBA game may be headed to Wii U Virtual Console

Mega Man Battle Network 3 could be headed to Wii U soon, if Australian ratings board listings are accurate.

The two versions of the 2003 Game Boy Advance game, Mega Man Battle Network 3 White and Blue, received classification with Nintendo listed as publisher on Thursday, as spotted by NeoGAF user 'Hero of Legend'. Though the listings do not specify which platform the game is headed for, Nintendo has only re-released GBA titles on Wii U Virtual Console so far.

The Mega Man Battle Network series follows human boy Lan and his personal digital assistant, MegaMan.exe. Together they navigate the real world and the internet, meeting up with friends and battling enemies in real-time grid based battles.

No other games in the Mega Man Battle Network series have been classified, nor has a release date been specified.

Capcom separately announced that six Mega Man games will release on 3DS Virtual Console in an event dubbed "Mega May", including Mega Man 2 for NES and Mega Man Xtreme for Game Boy Color.

The Australian ratings board posted classifications for Namco GBA titles Mr. Driller 2 and Klonoa in February. Ratings for Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow and F-Zero GP Legend surfaced in March.
