Bungie has attempted to assure Xbox fans that it remains as committed to their consoles as it is Sony's systems.
In the most recent weekly update on the Bungie website, the studio addressed a question from an Xbox fan who asked: "Will you guys give a nod to your Xbox fan base or just keep ignoring them?"
Community manager David Dague responded: "Who's ignoring you? We're right here, making a game we hope you'll love.
"We're listening to your questions, and answering the ones we can. If you're a gamer who wants to play a Bungie game, you're very much on our mind, every day."
The question would appear to stem from Bungie's numerous PlayStation-related reveals and announcements regarding Destiny since the game was revealed. Sony gave the game extensive coverage during its PlayStation 4 media briefing in February 2013 and again during its E3 2013 media conference.
Sony also produced a Destiny commercial designed to show off the console's sharing abilities, as well as confirming that the Destiny beta will be a timed exclusive for PS3 and PS4 owners.
Earlier today Bungie released a new Destiny video showcasing the game's 'Co-op Strike' missions, cooperative scenarios that drop Fireteams into different areas pitting them against large waves of enemies and bosses.
