A free Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer demo will be released this weekend for PS3 and PS4 owners.
Available from Friday, May 2 (10am Pacific) until Monday, May 5 (10am Pacific), the free-for-all demo will present those who don't yet have the game with a chance to try out both competitive multiplayer and co-op modes.
The competitive MP portion of the demo will offer three modes, Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Search & Rescue, playable on three popular maps; Strikezone, Warhawk and Prison Break.
The co-op slice of the demo will let you play the Extinction mode, in which four players fight off increasingly challenging waves of aliens in a Colorado town setting.
The most recent Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC was released on Xbox Live last week in the form of new personalization packs and the first ever voice packs, which add vocals from rap legend Snoop Dogg.
Also in recent CoD news, a collaboration between ESPN and pro gaming body Major League Gaming (MLG) will see the addition of a Call of Duty: Ghosts tournament to ESPN's extreme sports event X Games in Austin, Texas, this year.
