Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn currently has over 10,000 players in Australia, director and producer Naoki Yoshida said at an event today.
Yoshida is in Sydney to promote the recently launched PlayStation 4 edition of the revamped MMO, and has shared some statistics showing how Australians are playing the game.
Of the five playable classes, Australians prefer the Miqo'te race, mirroring what he says is a global preference for that race. The full stat breakdown is below:
Meanwhile, of the four roles available in the game, the DPS (Damage Per Second) role dominates at 48 per cent.
Yoshida also offered some global numbers: the game currently boasts over 2 million players, 7.63 characters and has been played for 550,000,000 hours.
