Watch Dogs will run at 60fps with 1080p resolution on PlayStation 4, Sony has indicated.
While publisher Ubisoft has yet to confirm how the title will perform across all platforms, Sony has confirmed the specs on its official website.
"Hack everything as you make your way through Chicago's underground as you experience Watch Dogs in a way that only Sony can provide, at 60 Frames Per Second in 1080p," the site reads.
While the game's cinematics animation lead Lars Bonde recently indicated that Watch Dogs will run at 1080p on PS4, no word has been forthcoming on whether Xbox One will do the same, and nor has any frame rate been confirmed directly by the publisher for either console.
Ubisoft's Francis Bolvin discussed the differences between the next-gen console editions of Watch Dogs and its PC counterpart in April, but stopped short of confirming frame rate performance.
Meanwhile, speculation was further fuelled by a Arab Gamer report which claimed Ubisoft had revealed the following resolutions and frame rates for the game during a Watch Dogs press conference: PS4 (1080p/30fps), Xbox One (960p/30fps), PC (up to 4K/framerate varies).
Since its launch in November, the Xbox One has generally delivered lower resolutions than Sony's console, most notably in titles including Battlefield 4.
The Watch Dogs release date is May 27 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3, and later in the year on Wii U.
